BIS and TRAVERSE improve your supply chain management
Business today relies heavily on managing all aspects of business as fast and accurately as possible, from ordering raw materials or product to the delivery of finished goods to your clients. The ones who can do this effectively are the ones who rise to the top and stay on top.
Enter the BIS suite of products
BIS, in conjunction with TRAVERSE Accounting Software, can help you in every aspect of your supply chain management. The information that you base your business decisions on must be accurate. According to the national averages physical inventories that are manually processed are skewed an average 4 to 6%. That would be a $50,000.00 variance on a million dollar inventory, and that is not acceptable.
Utilizes barcode technology
BIS helps bring accuracy and speed into the process by utilizing barcodes. Processes that once took days can now be done in a fraction of the time. Annual counts can be replaced with cycle counting, which keeps you more in tune with your business and your ability to supply your clients with what they need when they need it.

The latest BIS suite of products has been developed using Microsoft .NET framework. This creates a powerful and flexible product that can be easily maintained, customized and updated.
BIS can function in either a connected disconnected mode. Connected mode uses a WiFi connection to write directly into the BIS tables in TRAVERSE. If WiFi is not available then the data is stored and uploaded from the scanners into the BIS tables. This means you can use BIS anywhere.
|BIS uses industry standard equipment suited for the rough environments often found when dealing with inventory control.
The recommended device of choice is the Motorola MC9200 scanner with MS Windows Mobile, the workhorse of the scanner industry. Other Motorola models running MS Windows Mobile can work with BIS and can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Printing barcoded labels couldn’t be any easier in BIS. You can design and print labels inside TRAVERSE using any printer with Windows drivers. Many choose specific label printers for high volume and speed. As long as the printer has current Windows drivers you can print.
